Volunteering in the field of health care, designed to improve the quality of life of citizens at the preventive, therapeutic and rehabilitation stages, as well as to provide information, consulting, educational, leisure and entertainment support to the population and activities aimed at organizing additional assistance in the implementation of medical activities and care.
An “inexhaustible source” is a type of volunteer organization where the main resource is, relatively speaking, an inexhaustible third-party source of volunteers that does not require much effort on the part of the volunteer organization. Examples of these are most often branded organizations that have access to serious media or all sorts of youth associations. For the former, an “inexhaustible source” is the media or “media persons” who call on their audience for one reason or another to become volunteers. For the second – the ability to mobilize youth through universities (colleges) or youth organizations, if necessary. Mobilization methods are different: from using an “administrative resource” (which is bad, but often found in small towns), to a well-thought-out and organized advertising campaign (often built around certain bonuses). An “inexhaustible source” can also be a large base of potential helpers (thousands, tens of thousands of people) collected in some way, from where volunteers come from as needed. An important characteristic of this base is that it is not a community. This is essentially an electronic database of loyal people who are ready to receive calls and orders and volunteer from time to time.
The main advantage of such organizations and at the same time their main disadvantage is the presence of an “inexhaustible source”. As long as volunteers are delivered, the system works. As soon as the “inexhaustible source” stops working, the system collapses.
Organizations like “Inexhaustible Source” are very effective for holding promotions, events and solving some one-time tasks.
